Hello there! I was wondering, is there a specific brush pack or technique you use for the way you colour drawings? I've had cs5 for a while now but I can't seem to create a painterly effect with the basic brushes T_T
99% of my work is done with the first 6-or-so brushes that came with PS since the dawn of time. It’s not that I really love them, though; I’ve just never really been able to make good use of custom brushes (usually I just make really crappy background textures with them).
Technically, I’m an indecisive pansy. Try as I might, I’m not very deliberate with my brushstrokes. I usually paint over the same area at least half a dozen times without much patience for blending— which I find leads to a “painterly” effect by accident.
I did download Barontieri’s brushpack a long time ago, however, and use maybe one or two brushes from a pack of like, 60. He doesn’t seem to keep them on his website, but they might still be here.
